“What is it?“He asked, watching the pants slide on her.

“The stuff I had to do before with my bow and sword.” She said heading back to the steps, putting her hair into a ponytail.

Wind followed. “What was that?” He asked, ignoring his tail.

“Apply fresh lacquer, fletch some more arrows, and clean my sword.” She said heading down the steps.

“Ah. Can I help?” Wind asked.

“Sure. If you want. Just be careful around my sword. It’s pure Crysam. Sharp and deadly to the touch.”

“OK.” Wind said, smiling as he followed at her side.

She walks to the entranceway, grabbing her sheathed sword, bow and quiver heading to the basement door.

Wind offered to carry them for her, still smiling.

She smiled and gave him the sword, putting the quiver on her back as she opened the door going downstairs.

He carried it securely with both hooves, following her.

Wind nodded. “That sounds about right. Probably caused by the disguising matrix mimicking the life-processes of the copied organism.” He said, sitting up.

Wind nodded. “Yes I do.” He said, again not getting what she actually ment by “like”.

“I suppose so, yes.” Wind said, tilting his head. He considered scanning her to see if something was different.

“Ooo. That’s a bold statement there.” She said sitting up on the couch. She appeared normal in the scan.

“No. Not really. I’m just joking around.” She said getting up and kissing his cheek, “I just haven’t had anyone say they’ve liked me in a while.” She said turning heading to the steps.

Wind stood up and followed her. “Then that’s their loss.” He said, smiling.

She smiled heading up the steps and into her room.

Wind continued following, now curious as to the second floor of the cabin. “Impressive structural integrity.” He said, admiring her bedroom’s doorframe.

“Why thank you.” She said smiling taking off her tank top and bra.

Wind did not seem bothered, looking at her, his tail moving again. “I think I may just remove the tail entirely…” He said, glaring over his shoulder at it.

“Why?” She asked looking over her shoulder at him, before walking to her closet pulling out a winter camouflage t-shirt.

“It moves involuntarily.” He answered, looking back to her, making it wag again, a little more energetically.
