One bat pony however stopped in front of the window, peering it at it. His coat is a pure black, and his mane and tail also with a gold and a white streak. His eyes are blood red, and focused squarely on the gem, as if it was a fly and he a praying mantis.

Zero glanced over his shoulder at his sister, Velocity. He then glanced back to the gem, and then back to Velocity. He sniffed a little, then turned and trotted over to her. She was perusing a flower shop, and didn’t hear him approaching, until he crouched under her and nuzzled her neck, making her jump. “Oh, Zero, you startled me.” Zero nuzzled her again, as an apology, then whispered, “May I have some money? I want to buy something.” Velocity nodded, smiling.
"Sure! Is it that antique replica of the famous painting I can’t remember the name of for the life of me?" She asked, reaching into her saddlebag emblazoned with the Point Family Crest. Zero shook his head, and pointed across to the gem.

"Ah, I see. For you collection?" Velocity asked. Zero nodded, and nuzzled her again. She giggled a bit, and said, "Alright alright, you don’t have to flatter me silly." She said. Zero ignored her and kept nuzzling for a few more seconds before walking with her over to the gem store, his eyes fixated on the gem.

Velocity and Zero trotted inside, the former glad to be back inside and protected from the cold Trisiplex City weather. She walked up to the counter, Zero at her side. Well, Zero walked directly into the counter because his eyes were still trained on the gem.

"My brother Zero would like to purchase that gem you have in the window please." Velocity said, rotating Zero’s head around with a hoof to look at the store owner. Zero nodded a little for affirmation.

She nodded, reaching into her saddle bag and fishing around. Zero reached in and withdrew her purse for her. “Thanks.” She said, then countered out 500 bits-worth and placed them in a small pouch, which she then handed to Zero, who looked confused. “It’s your gem.” She said. Zero nodded, then gave the bits to the shop owner.

Zero shivered a bit as he felt the scars fade, holding the cloth close to him. Velocity didn’t seem to notice however, and walked with him out. She looked up at the sky, then at Zero. “We should be heading home right? You being nocturnal and all.” She said, tussling his mane affectionately. Zero nodded, smiling a little at her, showing off his fangs.
