violetbacked asked:

What kind of games does he play?

thefireboundmage answered:

Rakuras here since it’s better to just say it myself. I’ve been gaming since I was a little over 3 years old back when the NES was the go-to system. As such I played every major genre and have come to like at least one game in each. Mastery… is not something I’ll ever claim as sports, racing, 3rd person console shooters (GTA/Gears of War-like), and fighting games I could never really become skillful at.

So the shorter list is what genres I like/I excel at are (examples put like so):

  • 4X (Space Empires/GalCiv)
  • RTS (WarCraft 2 & StarCraft were my firsts)
  • RPG (SMT fan, not deterred by any series/sub-sect thus far)
  • SRPG (Disgaea/FFT)
  • Action-combat (Devil May Cry 3 on Hard Mode before the rereleased version cut the difficulty… still need to retry Dante Must Die mode, though)
  • Action RPG (Kingdom Hearts series)
  • Simulation/God-Games (Black & White and Oxygen Not Included)

And I’ve played far too many to include a list as I own around… 2000-3000 games at this point between almost every major system since the NES (emulation copies/disc isos not counted, of course, but digital copies via Steam/etc are).

Below the cut are some quickly done photos of my gaming collection that is one hand. Sorry for the quality as my phone’s a tad busted so I couldn’t preview them correctly.
