The mare leaned to the right almost impossibly, seeing it, she then snapped back to her original stance, and nodded. “OK, just insert your Citizen Card into the Counter.” She said, pointing to the “counter”. As if on command, a round robotic eye flipped open, directed at them. A mechanical arm unfolded from a compartment, maneuvering towards Maud, a card-swipe device attached to the end.

Maud: Citizen Card…? Is that the company of credit that you take?

"No, it’s your monetary storage device, ID, personal passcard, social tracker, life sign register, telecommunications device, and in an emergency, dedicated defense drone." The mare listed.

Maud: I… I’m a tourist… I’m not resident here… I’m sorry…

The mare looked confused, and said, “But weren’t you issued a temporary one when you entered?” Meemya began to panic. He had his, kept it in his pocket. He attempted to use morse code to notify Maud of this fact, thanking just about every word in the dictionary that Undi never learned morse.

Maud: Uhhh one sec…

*She looks into the cage at him.*

Undi nods, glancing behind her at the staff door. Meemya tries to mouth “my jacket” to her.

*”Where?” Maud mouthed.*

He gestured to the one intact pocket of his jacket. (( Didn’t I mention he was wearing a patchwork jacket made of scraps of cloth and rags?))

*Maud quickly opened the cage and reached into the pocket, quickly grabbing the card and closing the door.*

Maud: Aha!

The mare turned back around to face her again, and said, “Excellent! Then just slide the card through.” She gestured at the card-reader.

*She slid it through card-reader…*

It made a string of beeping noises, Meemya’s head appearing on the screen, beside it some info, such as height, weight, age, etc.. The mare looked at the screen in shock, then looked at Maud, still maintaining her shocked expression.

Life was laying on her hotel room bed when she accidentally handcuffed herself, she was pouting. Thinking she shouldn’t have been playing with the handcuffs.

Meemya looked at Arthur, who was batting at Meemya’s tail in much the same way Meemya himself would.

Meemya waited patiently, not wanting to distract her.

Maud: So apparently he’s not ACTUALLY a lizard… but he was transformed into one!

"What? How?" Meemya asked.

Maud: Magic!

*The lizard tries to climb up the tank…*

Maud: So I need to adopt him…

"OK." Meemya said quickly, shrinking back a little. "So long as he doesn’t hurt Arthur."

*The lizard silently talks again.*

Maud: Oh okay… I’ll be right back!

*Maud starts walking to the counter, where they needed to go in the first place.*

There doesn’t seem to be anyone there. Or rather, the counter looks more like a large computer… There is someone there though, humming behind the counter, to the tune of running faucet water.

Maud: Excuse me?

The faucet went quiet, as did the humming. A rustle of fabric being donned quickly could be heard, and a silky soft feminine voice floating out. “Be right there, just cleaning up a fluid spill.” Meemya gasped, and before Arthur could make any noise, Meemya coiled around Arthur’s body, hiding him from sight. “That’s my cousin’s voice! Don’t let her see me!” Meemya gulped.

*Maud puts the case down so that she can’t see him when she comes out.*

Maud: Okay!

A few seconds later, a Pegasus mare hops out from behind the “counter”. Her coat is a shade of pink, while her mane is striped cherry red, lemon yellow, pale blue, and lime green. Her eyes however are dark blue. She is wearing a simple outfit for cold weather, which blended with her coat. “How may I help you miss?” She asked. Meemya could just peek out through the air slats, and he could tell she was nervous about something.
