Meemya did the same, curling up in her lap again, leaning his head up to look at the pages.

Maud: Maybe uhhh… nope not even gonna try!

"What?" He asked, curious.

Maud: I was just gonna try a different spell, but I don’t think it’s necessary.

*She chuckled a bit.*

"What would it do?" Meemya asked.

Maud: If it worked properly, I’d summon a blue jay, but I might end up turning YOU into a blue jay, by accident of course.

"I’m already a bird though. I have feathery wings, I can fly, and I lay eggs. Like a bird." Meemya said.

Maud: Huh? I thought that you were male…

"I am." Meemya said. "They sort of materialize in front of me when I have to nest." He gestured in a curculumotion at an area in front of his torso.

Maud: I see…

*She shrugged and continued reading the book.*

"I’ve hidden them all over where I’ve been after I lay them. I’m not sure why I do it, but I’m considering retracing my steps to see what has become of them." Meemya said.

Maud: That’s always an interesting idea…

"I’m just afraid of being caught with any of the eggs. I don’t want to even think what would happen to them if…" Meemya stopped, gulping.

Maud: Hmm…

*She pondered for a moment…*

Meemya shivered, and smiled at Maud. “Probably best I don’t then.”

Meemya curled up in her lap, purring as she let him.

*Maud smiled and gently scratched behind his ears as she read her book.*

He continued purring, his ears flicking every few seconds.

Meemya opened his eyes to see what the change, if any, was now.

*Nothing except for a bunch of black butterflies flying around.*

Meemya mewed in surprise, looking with wide eyes at all the butterflies.

*One of the butterflies landed on Meemya’s nose.*

Maud: Maybe it’s THIS one!

*You suddenly hear what sounds like country music…*

Maud: How the heck can those two get screwed up?!

Meemya crossed his eyes to look at the butterfly, mewing happily. When the music started, he shivered, covering his ears and whining. “Owie! Too loud!”
