Trixie was a busy mare. Or at least she said she was and in part that was true. She was always on the move, making new stories, Learning a new spell or experimenting with old ones. She was always trying to better her show after the brutal beating her reputation took a few years back.
While usually Trixie would already be packing up and moving on to her next stop…she didn’t have one. She’d planned on heading to the next town over next but they’d sent a messenger to her yesterday, saying they’d rather she not perform and rejecting her permit request.
Right now Trixie just sat in the section of her cart that was usually her bedroom, but when the stage portion of her wagon was extended it simply became the backroom, blocked off by a thick curtain. She simply sat there, glancing through old posters of her old shows in an old album. All old. All in the past.
“It’s like I said. Less focus on power, on forcing them to do what you want and more focus on simply doing. Think about lifting each one. Visualize them as you lift. You don’t have to lift them. Just let your magic feel them. Let it acclimate to them and then try to lift.“she advised before setting a pillow on the floor and setting the objects around her. “Take a seat and try again”
Tallia nodded again, feeling confident. She took another deep breath, then attempted to visualize the objects being still. She figured the easiest way to prevent wobbling was too push inward, but something felt weird as she did, a kind of bubbly gut feeling since her eyes were closed, she did not see how her magic was compressing the objects to the point of shredding them.
Trixie’s eyes widened and her stronger making quickly ripped away the locket within the group of objects as she shouted
“STOP!”
Tallia inhaled sharply and jumped in surprise, opening her eyes and letting go of the objects, which clattered to the floor in varying desires of repair. “Wh-What is it?” She quickly asked, fearing she had done something very bad.
When talia’s eyes opened, Trixie was carefully looking over a slightly damaged locket while mumbling "nothing too bad…I can fix this”
After she finished her inspection of the locker she signed and finally turned towards her student. “You were supposed to steady your hold on the items not try to crush them” she explained with a tired voice. “Replacing all those isn’t expensive and repair spells take time.”
Tallia’s ears drooped and she looked down. "I-I thought that… I assumed maybe…” She stammered. She felt both bad for causing this damage, and scared that her magic had done that to the objects.
