Hey, folks. I took my time and turned the haircut of Brownie from the previous comic into an actual hair you now can use in-game. I’ve also implemented her colour scheme for the body. :3
So, if you have The Pony Modpack installed, download the latest copy of CLeF - Things To Do In Starbound. Yes, you’ll need both of these mods.
Better explanation:
1. Install The Pony Modpack. This will give you ability to create playable pony character.
2. Install CLeF - Things To Do In Starbound. It will add Brownie’s haircut and colour scheme for character creator on top of The Pony Modpack’s data. Think of it as a free self-integrating DLC (which in fact is). /)^з^(\
Q: What’s a CLeF?
A: Read here. tl;dr: It’s a massive gameplay overhaul mod I’ve been working on for the past 10 months. It expands almost every aspect of the game. You won’t realize how barebone and crippled Starbound became since Giraffe releases until you’ll try playing with it. :)
Q: Why installing both?
A: CLeF itself does not contain pony races - only additions for them in a form of self-integrating patches (only work if certain files are present). Installing both will give you ability to make your own Brownie Bun and an
entire quest line that involves peanut butter (regardless if you’re a pony
or not)! Plus literally a ton of new and restored classic Starbound
content and features to play with. Also, bonus ducks.
Q: Why did you not made this as a separate mini-addon for The Pony Modpack?
A: IMHO, it’s better that way. In fact, I planned to make this addition to CLeF for a long time, ever since the “Food For Thought” quest line was implemented (along with Peanut Plant, harvestable Peanuts and craftable Peanut Butter item). Some people even demanded to get Brownie into the game along with craftable Peanut Butter.
