It’s technically midnight in California, so I posted this exactly on @datte-before-dawn‘s birthday. This was also queued, so I may be speaking to you from beyond the realm of dreams. Oooooo.
This is Datte’s sona Dattepone built in lego. I think the best word to describe this build would be “different”. Dattepone’s features are some of the most unique I’ve encountered during my builds. For starters, the cutie mark. While I absolutely love how it turned out, I unfortunately wasn’t able to make the entire mark, the pencils below the face being absent. For what it is, though, it looks great. The tail is, again, very different from what I usually make. Instead of flowing downwards, like most tails, it kind of sticks outwards. I think I did well enough on it. Lastly, the hair. Man, it was a little complicated trying to get an accurate, but also possible design. I think I managed to pull off the sort of flat hair and ponytail combo, though. Again, it’s not a usual thing to have so little hair on a pony. Also, his jacket and shirt. While I couldn’t get all of the length of it, I think what I do have is a good enough replication of it. It’s different from the usual hoodie I have to put on a pony. For his character shots, I put Dattepone in that pink apron that was apparently a meme with him, cooking up something on the stove. I bet it’ll be good enough for someone so manly.
