*The music stopped and Maud sighed with relief.*

Meemya did the same, curling up in her lap again, leaning his head up to look at the pages.

*It was filled with a bunch of symbols that he couldn’t recognize…*

Maud: Maybe uhhh… nope not even gonna try!

"What?" He asked, curious.

Maud: I was just gonna try a different spell, but I don’t think it’s necessary.

*She chuckled a bit.*

"What would it do?" Meemya asked.

Maud: If it worked properly, I’d summon a blue jay, but I might end up turning YOU into a blue jay, by accident of course.

"I’m already a bird though. I have feathery wings, I can fly, and I lay eggs. Like a bird." Meemya said.

Maud: Huh? I thought that you were male…

"I am." Meemya said. "They sort of materialize in front of me when I have to nest." He gestured in a curculumotion at an area in front of his torso.

Maud: I see…

*She shrugged and continued reading the book.*

“I’ve hidden them all over where I’ve been after I lay them. I’m not sure why I do it, but I’m considering retracing my steps to see what has become of them.” Meemya said.
