techno-dragon answered:
Maud: Strange…
The newborn yawned, coiling its long snake-half around Meemya’s hoof. Meemya smiled a little, and said, “Whatever the reason, it doesn’t change the fact he’s my son.” Meemya purred, gently nuzzling the newborn, which an odd giggling noise.
Maud: So what are you gonna name him?
Meemya thought for a few seconds, then said, “Arthur.”
Maud: That’s a pretty name!
*She smiled at Arthur.*
Arthur smiled back, swaying his torso back and forth, like he was waving. Meemya smiled, and asked, “You sure you don’t want to hold him?”
Maud: Sure; I’ll hold him!
Meemya nodded, standing up and carefully holding Arthur out to Maud. Arthur seemed to know he was being passed, and uncoiled his snake-half from around Meemya’s hoof, wriggling it into the air to try to reach Maud.
Maud: A rather intelligent one…
*She gently cradled the creature in her paws.*
Maud: Hello there!
Arthur coiled his snake-half around her paw for support, smiling at her. “Issha?” He emoted, trying to straighten up and balance.
*Maud gently helped him and patted his head.*
He held onto Maud’s paw, using it to assist him in his task of “standing”. He made a happy purr/hiss when she pat him.
Maud: Meemya, if I transformed other ponies that have laid into snakes, do you think that we could create a whole new species?
"I’m not sure any other ponies lay eggs, only me." Meemya answered.
Maud: There’s gotta be another type…
"What do you mean?" Meemya asked. Arthur made a noise of effort, managing to finally find a way to balance, which he excitedly announced in foal-gibberish.
Maud: Like, maybe another Pont out there lays eggs; surely there’s another, at least ONE out there!
“I haven’t met any, then again, it’s probably not something one makes public.” Meemya said, then added. “Maybe if you transform me into other things before I touch the egg, it will have some kind of effect?”
