*Maud didn’t do much… she just waited…*

"I never thought Meemya would ever find a companion, but here you are, a dragoness no less!" The mare giggled.

Maud: A companion? No! I just pasted him on the street… well bumped into him on accident. We dropped the cards and I picked up the wrong ID!

The mare froze again. “H-H-He’s here?” She gulped, her eyes wide.

Maud: Nah he was headin’ for the exit by then.

She looked dejected, but sighed. “Just go get your bearded lizard and I’ll get a carrier for it.” She said, walking to the staff door. Meemya breathed a sigh of relief, uncoiling from around Arthur, who looked very confused.

*Maud takes the carrier and walks back to the tank…*

Maud: Usually an employee does this…

"She doesn’t work here." Meemya said.

Maud: Really? That doesn’t surprise me…

"Her boyfriend does though, which might explain why she was wearing his clothes…" Meemya sighed, shaking his head.

Maud: Ohh I see…

*The lizard scratched at the glass…*

Maud: Let’s see here… I think I need a key…

"The lid can be removed." Meemya said, trying to point at the four latches on the corners.

Maud: Hmmm…

*She seemed to disapprove of this, but she removed the cover and picked up the eager lizard. It sat right down on her shoulder as she walked back to the counter.*

The mare looked melancholy, but nodded. “Is there anything else?” She asked.

Maud: Do you have any refrigerated mice to feed to a snake?

“Yes, how many do you need?” The mare asked.
