*Maud smiled and looked at the creature.*

Maud: See?

"L-Lier…" It growled, glaring at Meemya. "I’m a monster. The literal personification of a nuclear explosion. You’re lucky I’m not having one of my rage fits, or there would be nothing left here except a smoldering crater."

*Mike and Alex growled slightly, their eyes glowing…*

Maud: Hush! You two are not helping!

Meemya couldn’t hold it anymore, and rushed forward to embrace the creature, sobbing tears of joy. The creature seemed surprised, but growled, and raised its claws… But that was it. It couldn’t seem to bring itself to harm her, like it was physically straining to do so.

*Maud watched closely, ready to grab the creature if needed so.*

Meemya stroked its mane. “I’m so happy you lived! It felt like someone had ripped my heart out when I heard about the nuking!” She cried. The creature still seemed mentally warring between killing her and not.

*Maud glared at him as if to say, “If you kill her, you’ll regret it forever…”*

It didn’t seem to notice the glare, but it’s paw was shaking, looking at the back of Meemya’s neck.

*Mike and Alex growled a bit, but silenced when Maud gave them a cold glare. Maud raised her paw a bit, ready to pull the creature away…*

Meemya kissed its cheek, which must have been the final straw, because the creature put its paw down, and shut its eyes.

*Maud let out a sigh of relief, and the Nerds yawned and settled down on the bed, exhausted from taking care of the kids.*

Meemya continued hugging it, while the creature just held still.

Alex: … So uhhh… what should we call you?

"Adam." The creature and Meemya said at the same time, making Meemya giggle and the creature smile a little.

Alex: Nice to meet ya! Call me Alex… or Alexander if you’re more formal.

*He chuckled a bit.*

Adam didn’t respond, holding very still. Meemya continued nuzzling Adam’s neck. Adam made a purring noise.

Alex: Maud, why don’t you come sit by us? You look tired…

Maud: I can’t…
