"Oh. I wanted to ask. If you’re going to be here for a year would you like yo keep wandering around? You can if you want but I was going to offer my bed and board. So you can stay at my home until your beacon repairs."
"Wandering is not fun. I will gladly stay here, thank you." Wind said, reassuming his Changeling disguise.
She smiles, “No problem…but now that I know you’re mechanical…I’m guessing you don’t survive on organic matter.”
He nodded. “Correct.”
"Then you ate that sandwich and didn’t gain anything from it? What am I going to feed you??"
"I do not require any feeding. My reactor supplies all much power." Wind said, turning around. On his back was a smooth-edged pack, which had occasional blinking lights.
"Oh. I suppose that means I don’t need to spend extra money on groceries then." She said smiling.
Wind nodded, chuckling a bit.
"So. Time to return back upstairs?"
Wind nodded, and said, “If this is the sub basement, the real basement must be even more extraordinary.”
She rubbed the back of her neck, “Hrm… Not really.”
"How so?" He asked.
"It’s basically a concrete box…and I usually don’t go down there." She said standing up.
"Ah, I see." Wind said, standing up with her.
"So I’d rather not go down there." She said tapping a gold band on her upper forearm as they appeared in her cabin’s entryway.
Wind nodded, then jumped a little as they teleported, scanning the surrounding space and band for residual particles.
