Timeline 1
2016 — America splits between the United Republic of America and the Free American States following the Democratic win of the election. Russia splits into Eastern and Western Russia.
2017 — The URA use military force to assist South Korea taking control of North Korea. Eastern Russia refuses to help North Korea.
2018 — URA gives the FAS Hawii in exchange for help with fighting North Korea. Australia, Indonesia, and New Zealand merge into the Oceania Federation.
2019 — North Korea is forced to surrender, becoming part of New Korea. URA forces FAS to return Hawii.
2020 — FAS withdraws from the UN. Relations between the URA and FAS deteriorate. The OF develops nuclear weaponry, and withdraws from the UN. Pandas go extinct.
2021 — WWIII unofficially begins between the Earth Guard, (consisting of the URA, Canada, UK, most of Europe, Western Russia, and New Korea) and the Conglomerate. (Consisting of the FAS, most of Southern Asia, China, Japan, Eastern Russia, and the OF.) The UN starts to fall apart.
2022 — Just prior to the dissolving of the UN, the Earth Guard and the Conglomerate meet and the World Clock Pact is forged, prohibiting the launch or use of any nuclear weapons for ten years, should the war last that long. (Bio weapons were also banned by the World Clock Pact.)
2023 — The first invasions begin, with heavy losses on both sides. India joins the Earth Guard. The ISS is destroyed by the Earth Guard to avoid the Conglomerate from weaponizing it.
2024 — Satellites are attacked by the Conglomerate to make them plummet down onto key Earth Guard sites. Mongolia, the Middle East, Iran, and Iraq are occupied and forced into the Conglomerate, but the Middle East offered to join the Earth Guard if they helped them regain control of the country.
2025 — The Middle East is reinforced by the Earth Guard, but Israel takes the fall for it, becoming occupied by the Conglomerate. URA distributes nuclear weapons to its allies secretly, but the codes are time sensitively encrypted, set to unlock on May 15th, 2033.
2026 — Border-wars between the FAS and URA result in unparalleled civilian deaths, promoting both countries to cease border-fighting, and focus on overseas combat. India is taken by the Conglomerate.
2027 — All fighting is ceased for one full week to “celebrate” half of the World Clock’s timer running down. Fighting resumes the day after. Western Russia grows while Eastern Russia shrinks. India rebels successfully against the Conglomerate.
2028 — The Earth Guard develop the first laser weapons. The Internet is shut down to prevent the laser weapons from being leaked to the Conglomerate.
2029 — The Conglomerate quickly reverse engineer laser weapons of their own. Blue Whales go extinct. Israel is recaptured by the Earth Guard, but a large chunk of Western Russia is lost to Eastern Russia. Three years left on the World Clock.
2030 — All of Europe is now part of the Earth Guard. New Korea is nearly conquered by the Conglomerate. Conglomerate begins scrambling for sources of uranium. Two years left on the World Clock.
2031 — URA launches a massive last-ditch invasion against the FAS directly, causing Conglomerate forces to be sent to reinforce, pulling them away from other fights in Asia. It’s not enough to end it though. One year left on the World Clock.
2032 — The World Clock runs down.
2033 — Collapse of civilization. End of WWIII.
