He carried the jar to the TV room, and placed the jar down on the table. “Watch something while I’m gone.” He answered, setting the controls to voice-activated.

He walked to the door, picking up his umbrella, as it was raining. He glanced at her just before opening the front door, but only for a second, before he sighed and walked out, opening up his umbrella.

It was a very long time before he returned. Almost midnight. He walked inside, first with one box and the umbrella, then quickly dashed out and returned a second later with a second smaller box. As he did, he glanced at he egos we if she was still awake.
