(◀) The little monocerus glanced around as he suckled, seeing how fancy the place looked, especially by his standards.
“What’s up there?” Anna asked, gesturing to something at the top of the high ceiling. “That’s a vent.” Gelirein said, closing the door. “No, that.” Anna said, pointing again, to something hanging from the vent. Gelirein looked at it, and smiled. “Nothing~…”
(◀) Miden looked up at it as well, his little ears perking up as he stopped suckling, trying to figure out what the thing was.
Anna squinted at the large vine, and giggled. “Oh~ I see~” she said. Gelirein chuckled, and nodded, the smile gone as fast as it appeared.
(◀) He looked up at you confusedly, realising that you knew what it was. “What that is..?” he asked softly, curious.
“A friend of mommy. You can meet them later, don’t worry~” Anna said, lifting him up and kissing his cheek.
(◀) Miden licked your cheek back. “Okay..” he then said, trusting you.
Anna smiled, and followed Gelriein to a dining room with a huge long table.
(◀) Miden looked around, wondering why the other mare needed such a big table.
“Have a seat, birthday boy.” Gelirein said, gesturing to the three chairs at the head of the table, before walking out of a door on the other side of the room.
(◀) He looked over at the chairs, assuming that he’ll be in the middle.
Anna walked over to the chairs, and sat in the left one, putting him down in the center chair.
(◀) He has to stand on the chair, his forefeet on the table in order to see over it.
“So what do you think of her, sweetie?” Anna asked him, rubbing his back with her hoof.
(◀) “Serious.. she not smile..” he said, looking over at you, his ears drooping a bit.
“She saves her smiles for the moments that really warrant one.” Anna said, leaning down and kissing his cheek. Gelirein returned, carrying a sizeable birthday cake in one hoof, and three presents a little smaller than him, and one about his size.
