i-darkstar-x asked:

The sunny day would have been nice. There were birds singing, clouds dancing, and happy breeze. But not in Greenpoint. The massive and unsightly Greenpoint Tower rose up like a middle finger to the world in the center of the city of Greenpoint. As usual, there were spiraling dark clouds around the top, blocking out whatever present sunshine was to be had. The train station outside of the city's walls was busy though, something very special was coming that might make the day more bearable,

ask-rainrunner answered:

*Rain was one of the may ponies at the station* another bad day *sigh*

Ferriah was standing on the station platform, waiting for the passenger cares to finish emptying so the train could pull up to allow her and her team access to the cargo section. There were some important parts and components that needed to be unloaded quickly, lest the Greenpoint tower get any uglier, which is saying a lot. She wore the standard Tower maintenance uniform. A drab gray with softly glowing bright green luminescent strips. They automatically changed brightness in varying light levels, so she did not need to hold a light herself. The uniform had dark green accenting, though it was barely noticeable unless one was up close. She was an earth pony, with a purple gray coat, jolting yellow eyes and smooth wavy soft orange mane and tail with small coal black streaks. She huffed to herself

ask-rainrunner

*he was waitng there to see on old freind that never ended up coming so he sat on a bench feeling sad*

Once the passengers were all off, the platform was mainly empty, save for the group of size, including Ferriah. All had the same uniform, of course. The train moved forward more, showing the neatly stacked boxes. At once, Ferriah and the other ponies began to get to work, systematically unloading the metal crates. They didn’t seem to have noticed Rain was still there.

ask-rainrunner

*he just sighed and watched them unload the boxes, thinking of why his friend didnt come*

i-darkstar-x

Ferriah was counting the boxes when’s he spotted him. Confused, she trot over, and cleared her throat. “Ahem, civilian, is something the matter?” She asked, rather untactfully.

ask-rainrunner

yeah im fine…

i-darkstar-x

“Right…” She said, not convinced. “Well it’d probably be better to wait inside the station. It’s air conditioned.” She said, smiling at him.

ask-rainrunner

im fine really i just… why didnt they come?

i-darkstar-x

She looked shocked. “How… How did you know about that?” He said, her voice quieter. She looked spooked, and very nervous.

ask-rainrunner

huh? i was talking about my friend

i-darkstar-x

“Oh.” She said, then breathed a sigh of relief. “That’s a relief.” She said, smiling. She realized how insensitive that sounded and her smile went away. “O-Oh, Er. I’m sorry your friend stood you up.”

ask-rainrunner

*sigh* well i guess im gonna spend the next month alone * he slowly stood up*

i-darkstar-x

She bit her lip, feeling a pang of sympathy. She knew how horrible it was to be alone. Without thinking, she said, “Wait!” She gulped, and stepped forward, blushing a little as she sad softly, “I-I can keep you company.”

ask-rainrunner

Really? ,dont you have a job?

i-darkstar-x

“I-I do, but i can take the night shift.” She assured, stepping closer. Too late to back out now.

ask-rainrunner

you’d really do that for me?

i-darkstar-x

She nodded quickly, still smiling. “Yes.”

ask-rainrunner

*he hugs her* thank you

i-darkstar-x

She blushed, and hugged back, smiling a little. “You’re very welcome, Mr.?” She said, asking his name

ask-rainrunner

Rain runner my name is Rain runner but you can just call me Rain

i-darkstar-x

( @rain-runner-rps ) She smiled. “It’s nice to meet you Rain.” She said, closing her eyes.

rain-runner-rps

*he smiles* its nce to meet you to, i never got yourr name

i-darkstar-x

“It’s Ferriah.” She answered, smiling more, and hugging him closer.

rain-runner-rps

Ferriah? nice name

i-darkstar-x

“Thank you.” She said. She pulled out of the embrace, smiling at him still. “Are you from central Equestria? Names like mine are commonplace here.” She said. She would have gone on, but one of the other workers walked over, a stallion with dark red eyes, a lavender coat, and mint green mane and tail. “Ferriah, we could use your help moving the boxes onto the transport.” She nodded. She turned back to Rain, and said, “Hey, I gotta help them finish. Why don’t you give me your address so I can come over when I finish.” She suggested.

rain-runner-rps

well im not sure if cloudlsdale is in central equestria and sure *he scribbles down his address on a piece f paper then gives it to her*

i-darkstar-x

She nodded, and gladly took it. “See you later, Rain.” She said cheerfully, then turned and followed the lavender stallion to the twenty or so crates, using her magic to help move them onto a treaded vehicle next to the station platform.

rain-runner-rps

yeah *he gets up and walks back into the city and to his house*

i-darkstar-x

In a few hours, he would hear a knocking on his door. It had started to rain a little while ago, quite heavily in fact. No thunder as of yet though.
