So I actually learned what that was.

You see, I have auto-bid enabled, so it’s like ebay’s system where the bid you put in is the max bid you’re willing to pay, but the bid will only increase by $5 over the next max bid. So the one person is just bidding, then getting immediately outbid. By bidding this way, they’re trying to find the minimum bid they’ll have to pay. But the YCH website doesn’t show the interim bids, just the manual bids.
