The only way I know to get noticed is to draw really, really often. People will start to notice you if your art is on their dashboard every day. The constant practice will also make you improve more rapidly and the increased number of drawings increases your odds of hitting good ideas.
And I don’t think Patreon is about being good enough. It’s about generosity. When I pledge to someone on Patreon, I don’t do it because they’re good enough. I do it because I like the artist and want them to succeed. I think that if you put enough genuine effort into what you do, people should notice and start rooting for you.
